Indigenous vegetables

Indigenous leafy vegetables

Freshly harvested indigenous leafy vegetables: cassava leaves, pumpkin leaves, sweet potato leaves and purple amaranth

Traditional leafy vegetables are part of our crop mix, harvested fresh from the field. They handle heat and dry spells, need fewer inputs, can be cut week after week, and are rich in iron, vitamins and protein.

Pictured: katapa (cassava leaves), chibwabwa (pumpkin leaves), kalembula (sweet potato leaves) and bondwe (amaranth). Availability changes with the season, so message us to find out what is ready.
